Arachne was turned in to a spider after boasting of her weaving skills, after her boasting caught the ear of Athena, the Goddess of Crafts. As part of this series of illustrations, I used the Arachne myth to discuss how intrinsic talents or gifts can be the source of envy and discord in the culture of the ego.
